ACA Marketplace Health Insurance for Florida & Georgia Residents
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace offers comprehensive health insurance options for individuals and families who don’t have employer-sponsored coverage. Navigating plan tiers, subsidy eligibility, and enrollment windows can be confusing—I’m here to simplify the process. My service is always at no cost to you.

Who I Work With
ACA Marketplace coverage is designed for people without access to affordable employer-sponsored insurance. I work with individual and families who are:
Uninsured and looking for comprehensive health coverage
Self-employed or working for an employer that doesn’t offer health benefits
Recently lost employer coverage due to job change, layoff, or reduction in hours
Aging off a parent’s plan at 26
Relocating to Florida or Georgia from another state
Experiencing a qualifying life event (QLE) that opens a Special Enrollment Period (SEP)
If you’re unsure whether you qualify for Marketplace coverage or financial assistance, a brief conversation can help clarify your options—no obligation.
Understanding Your Coverage Options
Plan Metal Tiers
ACA Marketplace plans are organized into four metal tiers—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—each representing a different balance between monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs when you use care.
Bronze plans generally carry lower monthly premiums but higher deductibles and cost-sharing when you need medical services. Platinum plans carry higher premiums but lower cost-sharing. Silver plans sit in the middle and carry a specific advantage for qualifying individuals—see Cost-Sharing Reductions below.
Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs)
Depending on your household income and family size, you may qualify for Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs) that reduce your monthly premium. These credits are applied directly to your premium, meaning you pay less each month rather than waiting to claim the credit at tax time.
Eligibility and credit amounts are based on your projected annual household income relative to the Federal Poverty Level. Because income can change during the year, it's important to report any significant income changes to the Marketplace to avoid a tax reconciliation issue at year end.
Cost-Sharing Reductions
Cost-Sharing Reductions (CSRs) lower your deductible, copayments, and out-of-pocket maximum — but they are only available on Silver-tier plans. If you qualify for CSRs based on your income, enrolling in a Silver plan rather than a Bronze plan may result in significantly lower total costs even if the monthly premium is higher.
This is one of the most commonly misunderstood aspects of ACA Marketplace shopping — and one of the most important decisions to get right.
Enrollment Periods
ACA Marketplace coverage is available during the annual Open Enrollment Period. Outside of Open Enrollment, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) if you experience a qualifying life event — such as losing other coverage, getting married, having a child, or moving to a new coverage area.
Premium tax credit eligibility is based on projected household income and family size. Plan availability and subsidy amounts vary by zip code. Enrollment is subject to Open Enrollment and Special Enrollment Period eligibility. This is not an offer of coverage or guarantee of eligibility.
How The Process Works
Step 1 — Consent & Coverage Assessment
Before reviewing specific plans, I confirm your consent to discuss ACA Marketplace coverage options. We then talk through your household size, projected annual income, and health priorities — giving me the information I need to identify which plans and financial assistance options are likely available to you.
Step 2 — Plan Comparison
I'll walk you through a side-by-side comparison of plans that fit your situation — looking at premiums, deductibles, networks, and formularies together rather than in isolation. Understanding the total cost picture, not just the monthly premium, is what leads to the right decision.
Step 3 — Enrollment Support
When you're ready to enroll, I can assist you with the process from start to finish through Healthcare.gov for Florida residents or GeorgiaAccess.gov for Georgia residents. Once your coverage is active, I remain your dedicated point of contact for any questions or changes that come up during the year.
Step 4 — Enrollment & Ongoing Support
When you're ready to enroll, I can assist you with the process from start to finish. Once your coverage is active, I remain your dedicated point of contact — for billing questions, coverage reviews during the Annual Enrollment Period, or any issue that comes up during the year.
