Medicare Coverage Guidance for Florida & Georgia Residents
Turning 65 or approaching Medicare eligibility is one of the most important coverage transitions you'll face. The decisions you make at enrollment can affect your access to care and your out-of-pocket costs for years to come. I'm here to help you navigate those decisions clearly, without pressure, and at no cost to you.

Who I Work With
As an independent licensed insurance agent serving Florida and Georgia, I understand that Medicare eligibility comes with questions — and the right answers depend on your specific situation. I work with individuals who are:
Turning 65 and enrolling in Medicare for the first time
Still working past 65 and coordinating Medicare with employer coverage
Transitioning off a spouse's plan or losing employer coverage
Already enrolled and looking to review their current coverage
Eligible due to a qualifying disability
Whether you're brand new to Medicare or looking for a second opinion on your current plan, the consultation is free and there's no obligation to enroll in anything.
The Three Coverage Paths
When you become eligible for Medicare, you'll navigate three primary coverage decisions. I help with all of them.
Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)
Medigap policies work alongside Original Medicare to help cover costs that Medicare doesn't pay — things like deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments. Because Medigap works with Original Medicare rather than replacing it, you generally have access to any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare, without network restrictions.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies that contract with Medicare to provide your Part A and Part B benefits. Most plans are structured as HMOs or PPOs and operate within provider networks. Many include additional benefits not covered by Original Medicare.
Because networks and plan designs vary significantly, reviewing your specific doctors, pharmacies, and medications against any plan you consider is an important step before enrolling.
Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D)
Part D covers prescription medications. If you have Original Medicare and a Medigap plan, you'll add Part D through a standalone Prescription Drug Plan. If you choose Medicare Advantage, drug coverage is often included in the plan.
Formularies — the list of covered drugs — vary by plan, as do pharmacy networks and tier pricing. Reviewing your specific medications against a plan's formulary before enrolling helps avoid unexpected costs at the pharmacy.
How The Process Works
Step 1 — Scope of Appointment
Federal regulations require a Scope of Appointment (SOA) before we discuss specific Medicare Advantage or Part D plans. This is a brief form that documents which product types you've agreed to discuss. It protects you — not me — and takes less than a minute to complete. We handle this at the start of our conversation.
Step 2 — Needs Assessment
Before looking at any specific plans, I'll ask about your doctors, specialists, prescriptions, preferred pharmacies, and any benefits that matter most to you. This gives me the information I need to identify options that are actually relevant to your situation rather than showing you everything available.
Step 3 — Plan Review
Based on what I learn about your situation, I'll walk you through a curated selection of options that fit your needs. I explain how each one works, what it costs, and what to watch for. You'll have time to ask questions. There's no pressure to decide anything on the spot.
Step 4 — Enrollment & Ongoing Support
When you're ready to enroll, I can assist you with the process from start to finish. Once your coverage is active, I remain your dedicated point of contact — for billing questions, coverage reviews during the Annual Enrollment Period, or any issue that comes up during the year.
